To get a price, please call our office & ask one of our friendly team.
Do I need to be at the property when you deliver/collect the skip?
If your payment has been taken via debit/credit card & we have clear access, you will not need to be at the property.
How and when do I pay?
you can pay by debit/credit card over the phone when ordering. We also accept cash on delivery.
If necessary, you can pay via bank transfer but we must receive payment before we can book the delivery in.
Are there any hidden costs?
There are no hidden costs. Our prices are fully inclusive of delivery, collection and disposal of your waste.
The only additional charges that may be incurred are if you require the skip for longer than the standard 14 days, if there are any wasted journeys or you place items in the skip that are not permitted. All our terms & conditions are covered clearly on the delivery note you receive.
What can I put in the skip?
You may put any general waste in the skips, this includes soil, brick, general household waste, garden waste etc.
Is there anything I can’t put in the skip?
There is a list of items on our website & on our delivery notes that show what materials are not permitted in our skips. There are mainly Asbestos, Plasterboard, POP’s, Batteries, Fridges/Fridge Freezers, Televisions, Computer Screens, Fluorescent Light Tubes and any other form of Light Tube, Gas Cylinders or Pressurised Containers, Liquids, i.e Oil, Paint, Fuel including residue left in Tins/Cans etc, Tyres.
Please note: if any of these items are placed in your skip they will be removed by the driver before the skip is taken for waste processing.
If you are ever unsure, please ring our office & ask our team.
Will the skip damage my drive?
Due to the weight of the skips and the stabilising equipment of the lorry, damage is sometimes possible. However, our drivers are trained to minimise risk. If you are concerned about damage, please contact us or mention at the time of booking.
Please note: once we vacate the highway, you automatically agree to indemnify us for any damage that occurs whilst on your property.
Can you put skips on a road?
Yes, we can place skips on a road.
However, for skips that need to be placed on the road, footpath or grass verge, we have a legal requirement to apply for a permit with the local council. This normally takes 3 days and there is a charge, depending on which council you come under.
Please check with the office when ordering.
As an alternative option to this, you may want to consider our Wait & Load service.
What is "Wait & Load"?
Wait & Load is a service we offer at no extra cost. When the driver delivers the skip, he will then wait for up to 20 minutes while you to fill the skip. He will then take it away. This eliminates the need to obtain permits and is also ideal if you don't want a skip sitting outside your house.
How high can I load the skip?
By law, skips must be loaded no higher than the sides of the skip. The use of boards to build the sides up is prohibited. Most importantly, the skip must be loaded securely and responsibly so that it is safe for road transport.
The laws governing the acceptable use of skips can be found in the Highways Act 1980 - section 139 road traffic regulations act 1984.
If any items are considered to be overflowing or dangerous, our staff will remove them before the skip is taken away.
What happens once the skip has been filled?
Call us to let us know you have finished with the skip. Our driver will then come to collect, usually within 24 hours. The skip is then taken to a waste transfer station where it will be processed for recycling.
